There was a time when the majority of people did not own a mobile phone but that time is certainly not now with over 90% of the UK having one. As technology improves by the day and deals get better do we really have a good use for landlines? One of the main reasons people stuck with a landline was because of the excessive charges to ring from a mobile, however, this has all changed now as we do not have to wait until 6pm to make a phone call that will avoid charges.
